Energija zra\u010denja sunca se pretvara u toplotnu energiju uz pomo\u0107 toplotnih prijemnika sun\u010deve energije koji se zovu solarni kolektori. Praksa pokazuje da solarni kolektor po 1 m2 godi\u0161nje u\u0161tedi 589 kWh energije. U letnjem periodu zadovoljava potrebe za toplom vodom 95-100%, u prelaznom periodu 55-75%, a u zimskom periodu 15-25%. Solarni kolektori ne zahtevaju odrzavanje i nema pojave kvarova. Nosa\u010di kolektora su izra\u0111eni od eloksiranog aluminijuma. Vakumske cevi su izra\u0111eni od kaljenog stakla koje obezbe\u0111uje \u010dvrstinu i dugotrajnost u sredi\u0161tu cevi se nalazi bakarna cev. Solarni Kolektori sa vakumiranim kaljenim cevima su sastavljeni od niza staklenih cevi iz kojih je izvu\u010den vazduh i \u010dijom osom prolazi taman metalni prijemnik kroz koga proti\u010de radni fluid. Cevasti solarni kolektori su znatno efikasniji od dosada\u0161njih plo\u010dastih, jer cevaste kolektore sunce direktno greje tokom \u010ditavog dana, dok plo\u010daste samo dok je sunce u najvi\u0161em polo\u017eaju odnosno oko podneva.
